Historical Talk: Underground Railroad – Bonnie Carmody

Please join us Tuesday, February 26th at 7:00pm at the Erie Middle School Auditorium for a Historical Talk. Bonnie Carmody will be talking about the Underground Railroad. The talk will cover the reason for the underground railroad and the symbols used by the slaves to negoiate safe travel to the north. Ms. Carmody will have pictures of some of these symbols. She will not have the quilt she made but will show blocks from her next quilt.

Bonnie Carmody was born in Boulder and went to school in Lafayette. She has lived in Longmont for 15 years and is an active member of the Quilters Group.
The book she is using is written by Ms. Tobin “Hidden in Plain View”.
